Training rates are $700-850/month which includes all feed/hay, board, and training for the month. 

 

Training options include but are not limited to: 

 

HALTER BREAKING ~ any age horse from Weanling age and up needing to learn the basics of how to be with and around humans: leading properly, loading in and out of different trailers confidently, obstacles, desensitizing, ground manners, being handled daily & grooming/bathing, standing tied quietly, being ponied, hauled to see the sights.

COLT STARTING ~ any age horse 18 months or older learning the basics of how to ride calm and confidently: The horse will first need to pass through my “halter breaking course” as stated above*^

Please keep in mind if the horse has had no prior work, the longer it will take me to begin the process of starting them under saddle. If you do not want to or can not send the horse away for the time he/she fully needs, please make sure that all the basics are covered prior to sending to me.

EXERCISE PROGRAM ~ any age horse 2 years and up that needs to be in peak performance shape: this can be a horse that’s totally out of shape and needs to be back in shape to be ready for a rider, one thats had some time off and coming back, getting ready to compete again, coming back from an injury, etc. I have a delicate, balanced and efficient legging up program. The horse will be worked 6 days a week with the work outs beginning slow, short & sweet, and then increasing weekly; which we feel is the safest way to get a horse physically fit again without causing any injury or stress. 

We have access to 800 acres with plenty of hills, inclines, and trails, a safe “water walk way” (water lane that is belly/shoulder high to the horse), free walker, sandy round pen, track and arena to properly get your horse back in working condition.

TUNE UPS ~ any horse that is confidently riding and started in any discipline (barrels, poles, jumping, play day events): this is for the horses that have had time off and are a little ‘rusty,’ or that have hit a “plateau” (aren’t showing improvements) in their training, or have started developing issues and need guidance to problem solving.

CONDITIONING & consignment ~ any horse that is weaning age or older that is needing to build muscle and condition for showing or sale: this will be sale or show fitting a horse of any age! The horse will be stalled during day light hours to keep sheen, on a delicate exercise and feeding program to insure proper muscling and condition. If on consignment with me, I will be taking care of any showing, advertisement and pre purchase exams. This option is also great for seasoned & finished horses that are still needing to be hauled as well. I charge 10% commission on all horses that are sold through my conditioning program.

PATTERNING ~ any horse that’s already started under saddle needing patterned on barrels, poles or play day events: Horse must already be considered in shape or will be required to go through my exercise program*^ *****

This will be putting your horse on the pattern of choice and worked with minimum 5 days a week, where they will learn how to calmly, correctly and confidently go through the patterns at first a walk then allowed to progress at their own pace and speed. They will also be learning drills and tactics depending on the horses style and characteristics. This option comes with a free riding lesson at the end of each month so that you’re able to learn what your horse has, any additional lessons a month are $50.

HAULING & seasoning ~ this is for any age horse that is already started confidently on the pattern: This will be for a horse that just needs to be hauled to “see the sights” and continue to grow & learn confidently in hopes to compete. I haul minimum twice weekly and will also be keeping your horse ‘sharp’ mentally on the pattern and in shape. Once familiar with the horses needs, I will decide how many exhibitions the horse will need. The price for practice runs are not included in the price per month — but there is not an additional charge for simply just hauling your horse.
